Together We Can Make a Difference
Bringing hope to women, children, and families affected by incarceration.
Our Story
Founded in April 2019 by Pastor Esperance M. Kayitesi Hay, Esperance for Women and Children in Prisons Africa (EWCPA) emerged from a powerful vision to improve the lives of incarcerated women and children. After serving as CEO of Essence Foundation, Pastor Esperance established EWCPA as a registered non-profit organization with a clear mission: to bring hope, dignity, and transformation to incarcerated women, their children, and affected families.
EWCPA is registered as a company limited by guarantee and provides holistic support to women and children both during incarceration and throughout their journey of reintegration into society.
Through strategic partnerships with Kenyan correctional facilities, international bodies, civil society organizations, and national and county government agencies, EWCPA fosters rehabilitative environments that address the comprehensive needs of those we serve—from psychological support and legal assistance to economic empowerment and family restoration.
